So today I'm reading the AP news wire and I run across this article on the GOP VP candidate, Gov. Sarah Palin and her huge natural gas pipeline project.
The article was about 2000 words, which in the news world is equivilant to the bible in length.
Objectively, I would say that 95% of the article was biased against Gov. Palin.
The AP had two staff writers on it and they did their job of attacking Gov. Palin fairly well.
At the same time, the AP ran an article on Democrat VP candidate Sen. Joe Biden and his news interview at an Orlando TV station. The article was maybe 700 words, and portrayed Sen. Biden 95% positively. The gist of his article is that while being interviewed by a woman, he was asked about the socialist leanings of he and his running mate, St. Obama. Infuriated, Sen. Biden refused to answer the question, ended the interview and shortly afterwards, the TV station received a call from the St. Obama campaign stating that they would no longer accept requests for interviews and all campaign ads would be placed with other TV stations in Orlando.
It would appear that Money Talks and Socialists Walk!
The reporter is being attacked as 'Biased' by the networks. How ironic, a reporter asks a question about charges that the opponents of St. Obama are making daily, (Socialist!) and instead of refuting it, uses threats and monetary sanctions to punish the offender.
Similarly, the recent questions by 'Joe the plumber' embarrassed the St. Obama campaign so much that they sicced the union members from his area on him creating an environment where he can't obtain work because union shops are picketing the company he works for.
If the McCain campaign used similar tactics, they would be pilloried by the mainstream(old) media. To quote Shakespere, "He doth protest too much!"
